Privacy & cookies

What we collect, and what we don't.

Short version: an enquiry form that emails us, a cookie for your theme, and nothing else. No advertising, no data sold, no third-party trackers.

What this site stores in your browser

Strictly necessary

Always on

Your cookie choice, your light/dark theme preference, and a two-letter country code so we can show you the right contact address. All stored in your browser only.

The site cannot remember your preferences — including a decision to reject everything else — without this. The country code comes from our hosting provider; we never read or store your IP address.

Analytics

Not in use

Pages visited, time on page, approximate region, and which site referred you. Aggregated, never tied to your name.

To see which pages are useful and which are not. Not currently enabled on this site.

Functional

Not in use

Preferences for embedded content such as video players or scheduling widgets.

So embedded tools remember your settings. Not currently enabled on this site.

Marketing

Not in use

Advertising and cross-site tracking identifiers.

We do not run advertising and have no plans to. Included so the choice is yours to make explicitly.

You can change your mind at any time — .

How we pick which address to show you

We show a Nigerian contact address to visitors in Nigeria and an international one to everyone else. Our hosting provider tells our server which country a request came from; we store that two-letter code in a cookie so the page does not have to ask again.

We never read, log or store the IP address itself, and we do not use any third-party geolocation service. The country code is not linked to anything else about you.

If you send us an enquiry

The contact form collects your name, work email, organisation and whatever you write in the message. It opens your own mail client and sends to info@kanosystems.com — the data does not pass through a third-party form service.

We use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the engagement. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking, and we do not share it with anyone outside the firm.

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 24 months. Ask us sooner and we will delete them immediately.

Client data

Anything we handle during an engagement — configuration exports, logs, assessment findings, penetration test reports — is governed by the engagement contract, not by this notice. In practice that means access on a need-to-know basis, encryption in transit and at rest, an agreed retention period, and secure destruction afterwards.

Security reports are treated as the most sensitive material we hold. They are never stored on personal devices and never sent over unencrypted channels.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Write to info@kanosystems.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with the response you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If we start using a category that is currently marked not in use, we will ask again before setting anything. Your existing choice stays in force until you change it.
